Nowadays,
Internet has slowly become a part of human's life. We can even say that it is
one necessary part of some people's body
too. However, many people claim that the invention of the Internet has
had negative effects on our civilization. Many say that it is a genesis of many diseases
too since people lack exercise. I think this is quite true.
First of
all, Internet has become something really important in our life. It can
entertain people and cause them to be delectable. Most people concern only its benefits,
so there is heedless
attention to its negative effects. Since people spend more and more time
surfing on the Internet, they don't really spend a lot of time exercising. More
people are working through Internet. So, they don't need to walk upstairs and
downstairs to reach people in the different floors. This is also true for
sending documents. And due to this lack of exercises, it is a jeopardy to many diseases
like obesity or diseases related to joints.
Also, there
are many news about the larceny
of personal information through the Internet. This can be really dangerous for
people who are not aware of it and put personal information in the social
network. Recently, many people's personal information are hacked through
Twitter. This will be worse if the hackers get the credit card numbers or
passwords. Not only the credit cards numbers and password will be stolen, some
people's social network accounts are hacked. The hackers hack these account and
may post some information or things that are not appropriate. These things can ruin
people's creditability.
Many people
are also addicted to online games too. With Internet, they can play any game
they want and these online games are very addictive. A lot of people are
spending more than half of their days in front of the computer to play online
games. Not only teenagers get addicted to theses games, adults do too! These
habits can engender
bad eye sight. And with more developed Internet, books become obsolete. Although
reading too many books can also engender bad eye sight, it's still better than
looking at the computer screen all day.
To recapitulate, I do think
that the invention of Internet has had many negative effects on human
civilization. People spend less time being outdoor and exercising. They also
don't really get to be in touch with other family members and people. Some
personal information can be stolen through Internet and people still get
addicted to using it. Books, too, become old-fashioned. They are all resulted
by the invention of Internet. However, not so many people concern about this.
They still care more about the advantages of the Internet and just ignore its
side effect which may cause more trouble then we think. So, we should concern
more about using it.
