Spectator Sport: Science and Technology Fair

The place was very crowded, filled with people from almost every parts all over Thailand. People lined up in front of the entrance doors, almost all of them were students. The reason people could know that these students came from many different places was probably because of their shirts. They wore colorful shirts which represented their schools' colors. Some of them came in pink while others came in blue. Some wore green shirts while other wore yellow ones. Some were dressed in purple while others were dressed in orange. Of course, these colors gave other visitors a little headache. They didn't really act with decorum. They were quite noisy, running here and there to take pictures and talk with their friends using colloquial language. However, they looked very excited about this science and technology fair.

Going through the entrance, the first thing to be seen was a grand, old-looking, ancient dinosaur's fossil model. Even though it was just a model, if not looked closely and carefully, no one would know it was not a real fossil!  Every stuffs were arrranged categorically. Many interesting, cool, and useful stuffs were set up there. Some were grandiose stuffs and some of them were diminutive.  Some were interesting but most of the things there didn't really catch some people's attention because they were something most people already knew about them so they was quite gratuitous. However, there was one thing that really caught most people's attention, probably everyone. It was called " The Free Fall Experience", in which, by name, helped the visitors to understand more about the law of free fall. The visitors could climb up and fall down to understand the law of free fall and have fun. However, in my opinion, it was precarious to play it.

Since it was a grand science and technology fair, people's feet felt a pain after walking around the fair. The most popular place for them to rest was food court. In front of the food court, there were several shops, such as A&W. Inside the food court, about 20 multifarious types of food were available. Also, there were more than enough seats for the visitors who got tired after visiting each different science booths to sit, relax, and have a meal to refill their energy to visit other interesting booths in the fair. This was a very huge and interesting fair. Also, it was very useful for students and people who were interested to know and understand more about science. So people who have interest in these stuffs should not hesitate to visit this science and technology fair!

  1. Read this blog entry and smiled after I finished. It's like going through the science fair once again guided by you! The sentences are really clear, and they're really well-written. For me, I like how you mentioned about the students' shirt colors. It seems like everybody mentioned them in their blog entries that are related to science fair. Keep up the good work. I enjoyed a lot.

  2. Since many people wrote about the Bitec Bangna fair so I’ve read quite a few of them. To some extent, I can feel that your work is quite different. You choose to mention about the detail on the booth, model, and shops in the place which I rarely have seen from the others. I can picture the story in my mind after reading your work. It’s a good one and I like it. Keep it up next time :D
